IRSP activists engaged residents in Newry, Camlough and Bessbrook.
This follows an attempted aggravated burglary on the Quarter road, Camlough, at 1:30 am Monday morning.
The burglars who were brandishing iron bars, were disturbed by vigilant residents. They then made their escape towards Camlough village, without gaining entry.
The IRSP will not stand idly by and let these anti-community thugs wreak havoc on our community.
We call on everyone to be vigilant and to look in on the elderly and vulnerable; together we will face these scumbags down.
The IRSP will continue to have a presence on the streets, during the build up to Christmas. Stay safe and guarded!
