The Irish Republican Socialist Party have described Tory plans to cut Child Benefit from individuals earning over 40k per annum as a smoke screen that provides a soft landing for the wealthy.
IRSP press officer Paul Little described the proposed cuts as little more than a slap on the wrist for those who can afford to pay their fair share, this decision flies in the face of those families who are struggling to pay for everyday essentials.
The proposed cuts in child benefits will hit some working families whilst leaving the profiteers, tax dodgers and business criminals free to continue their nefarious practices.
Social welfare cuts are a capitalist cure to the near collapse of capitalism and have to be resisted. Let the wealthy pay for their own collapse, not the ordinary workers who struggle on low wages whilst the profiteers continue to get rich on the back of their labour.
