Girdwood Public meeting
Cliftonville Community Regeneration Forum have organised a public meeting to discuss the recent ‘Girdwood Plan’ revealed by the Stormont Executive.
The Public meeting will take place on Thursday 7th of June at 7pm in Cliftonville Community Centre.
This meeting will be the first opportunity that the local community will have a chance to discuss the plans first hand and the meeting is open to all who have an interest in the housing problem and continued discrimination in public housing provision for Catholics in north Belfast.
We have invited those local politicians photographed championing the ‘Girdwood Plan’ at its launch at the site. Those invited include Nigel Dodds MP, Nelson McCausland MLA, Gerry Kelly MLA, Caral ni Chuilin MLA, Alban McGinness MLA and William Humphreys this is their opportunity to talk with local community activists and the local community and to find out does the proposed scheme enjoy public support, and if not why not?
We also have invited Belfast City Council to give a presentation on the proposed community hub. If you have any concerns or questions about the proposed developments everyone is welcome to attend.
Yours Faithfully
