IRSM Easter 1916 Commemoration, Derry.

The Irish Republican Socialist Movement will be holding a wreath laying ceremony to commemorate the 97th anniversary of the Easter Rising this coming Saturday at 12 noon.

The ceremony will take place at the Republican Socialist plot in Derry’s City Cemetery. This is an annual event that commemorates not only the men and women who rose against the British in 1916 but also the volunteers and activists of the INLA and IRSP who in the footsteps of James Connolly gave their lives in the struggle for National Liberation and Socialism.
