IRSP in Dublin assist in preventing eviction on the southside of the city today

The IRSP in Dublin today assisted in preventing an eviction at an event organised by the Community Action Tenants Union (CATU). This involved GL Accomodation attempting to evict three tenants in South Dublin. The eviction was not followed through.

This behaviour in the current curcumstances with COVID-19 and the economic environment is nothing short of social murder. The Party continues to monitor closely the behaviour of various landlords and other social parasites throughout Ireland and we will continue to highlight and challenge their actions and the rotten system which permits them to behave as such.

We would encourage all tenants to unionise, and to contact the IRSP should they be threatened with further exploitation from their landlords.
