The Irish Republican Socialist Party held one of it’s information stalls in Belfast City Centre today. The regular IRSP stalls are usually held in Belfast’s busy Castle Street area on Saturday mornings and are staffed by party activists who give of their time on a voluntary basis. The IRSP’s quarterly magazine, The Starry Plough and other party literature at the stall have proved popular with the general public.
During 2011, the IRSP stall led the way in raising public awareness about the nascent ‘Free Brendan Lillis’ campaign with party activists collecting thousands of petition signatures and handing out many thousands of flyers calling for the ex-Blanketman’s release.
