Loyalist Stand Off in Glengormley

The Irish Republican Socialist Party in north Belfast have slammed the intimidation of the community in Glengormley following a mini Twelfth orange parade in the town tonight.

I.R.S.P. members on the ground have reported that the East Belfast UVF is there in large numbers and a stand off has developed at the Glebe Road.

North Belfast IRSP representative Paul Little said,
‘The IRSP are concerned that the UVF is heightening sectarian tensions during the loyalist marching season, by attacking and intimidating nationalist communities, in a vain attempt to deflect attention from their alienation from working class unionism and their failure to show firm anti sectarian leadership to the unionist working class.

The actions of the UVF over the past few weeks in attacking working class communities are a betrayal of class politics.
