On Saturday 24th of August at 2pm the IRSP in Cork will be holding an information stall in Daunt Square, Cork City to raise awareness of political prisoner Michael Campbell’s inhumane situation in a Lithuanian jail and further call for his Repatriation to Ireland.
Jason Nott of Cork IRSP continues “The horrendous circumstances of Michael Campbell’s detention in Lithuania are cause for serious concern. It’s a sobering fact that in 2013 Irish republicans are still engaged in battles with the establishment over the human rights of Irish political prisoners of conscience. Michael Campbell is living a nightmare; he is enduring psychological torture as well as physical neglect his repatriation to Ireland must happen soon. We will be highlighting Michael Campbell’s case in Cork on the 24th of August and we would urge all republicans and socialists in Cork City to come along and support the campaign to bring Michael Campbell home.”
