Dublin IRSP remembers the Hunger Strikers.

Dublin Irish Republican Socialist Party held a Black Flag Vigil and Banner Drop on OConnell Bridge on Sunday 19th of May to remember the sacrifice and dedication of those brave INLA and IRA Volunteers who took part in the 1981 Hunger Strike.

Speaking at the event ex political prisoner and Dublin IRSP spokes person Tommy Kelly said ” During the latest hardship brought on due to the capitalist economic crisis its very important that we, as revolutionaries, take strength from the sacrifice and dedication of those who took part in the 1981 Hunger Strike. Those brave INLA and IRA Volunteers of 81 are an example of how a few committed revolutionaries with a strategy and the will to see it through can enact massive change that will reverberate around the world. As we plan to topple native capitalism and end the occupation of the North we should look towards those brave Volunteers of 81 for inspiration.”
