IRSP condemn proposed hospital cuts at RVH

The IRSP in West Belfast have warned that proposed job cuts by the Stormont administration would have a devastating impact on workers and their families.

West Belfast IRSP representative Gerry Foster asserted,

‘The planned cuts could effect up to 1200 hundred workers in the Royal Victoria Hospital, the accumulated effects of these cuts will be detrimental to not only the workers but also to the wider west Belfast Community.

The IRSP are calling on all workers and community groups to support the threatened RVH workers, it is only by people uniting to fight these punitive job cuts that they can be resisted, united action against the employers is the only way that jobs and front line services can be protected.”
