The IRSP welcome the decision made by Republican prisoners in Maghaberry, Portlaoise & Hydebank to end their 2 week Hunger Strike following the scheduled return of Dr Issam Hijjawi to Roe House.
The IRSP again reiterate our calls that all parties must use this opportunity to push for the implementation and recognition of the August 2010 Agreement to avoid future conflicts/disputes within the gaol.
On Saturday, the IRSP organised a whiteline picket on the Falls Rd in Belfast in solidarity with the fasting prisoners.
