Funeral Of Volunteer Patsy Tiernan In Dundalk

The funeral of INLA Volunteer Patsy Tiernan took place in Dundalk on Friday, 23rd March, 2012.  The cortege for Vol Patsy Tiernan, flanked by a guard of honour from his comrades from the Irish Republican Socialist Movement left Dixon’s Funeral Home, Dundalk at 12.15pm.  The funeral cortege wound it’s way via Castletown Road, past Patsy Tiernan’s home in Fr Murray Park, through Culhane Street, Patrick Street, on to Bridge Street and arrived at St Nicholas’ church for 1 o’clock Requiem Mass.

Volunteer Patsy Tiernan’s coffin was draped in the Starry Plough flag and carried by his comrades in the Irish Republican Socialist Movement as it made it’s final journey to St Patrick’s cemetery, Dundalk.

Vol Patsy Tiernan will always be remembered by his comrades in the Irish Republican Socialist Movement.
