There was a large Irish Republican Socialist Party presence at today’s 40th anniversary of Bloody Sunday commemoration march in Derry today. Derry IRSP and IRSP-Alba’s banners were prominently displayed as party members joined with thousands of other marchers, including many relatives of the Bloody Sunday victims to remember the events of a peaceful civil rights march in January 1972 when British Parachute Regiment troops committed mass murder on the streets of Derry.
This was the new IRSP-Alba banner’s first appearance at a march in Ireland. IRSP-Alba are the Irish Republican Socialist Party’s sister party in Scotland.
