Short Strand White-line Picket In Support Of Maghaberry Republican Prisoners

by Blogger for Events, Political Prisoners
IRSP members and supporters protest in support of the Maghaberry Republican prisoners in Short, Strand, Belfast today

An estimated 50+ Irish Republican Socialist Party members and supporters took part in a white-line picket today in Short Strand, Belfast in support of the Maghaberry Republican prisoners.  Despite today being the subject of a severe weather warning, protesters braved the elements to demonstrate in solidarity with the protesting political prisoners.

Today’s protest sent a clear message to everyone within our working-class community that the IRSP supports Irish political prisoners’ human rights as a key matter of political principle, just as fervently in 2012, as the party has done consistently in the past.

Implement the August Agreement!
